Contributions/Donations

Northern Light Church of Christ has entered a new era: the age of anytime, anywhere giving. We are now signed up with Givelify, the mobile giving app for places of worship and charities.

We will still continue to accept check or cash donations, this is just another option for those who prefer it.

To make your first mobile donation the best experience possible, we recommend you download the Givelify app for Android or iPhone before you get to service.  Or, if you prefer, you can tap the icon below and it will connect you directly to our Givelify page.

Givelify gives you a beautiful, easy giving experience using your smartphone or computer. There are no frustrating web forms or text-to-give codes to memorize. Even better, it’s free to download and use. It’s totally safe and secure, and for tax time you have one-tap access to your complete donation records.

If you would like to contribute to a specific fund, just tap select the special envelopes right from the palm of your hand. You can give to Northern Light Church of Christ wherever you are. Make us your home place of worship for quick one-tap access.

A little information about the special envelopes/programs that Northern Light Church supports:

Every Meal, formerly The Sheridan Story,  provides weekend food to school children who face hunger on the days that they are not in school. It is commonly referred to as a “backpack” project, as the food is put discreetly into the backpacks of the children so they don’t experience any embarrassment.

We have been able to sponsor  children from Edinbrook Elementary in Brooklyn Park during the 2020/21 school year.

In addition, since March of 2020, Every Meal  (formerly Sheridan Story) has responded to the skyrocketing increase in food insecurity in our community as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic by adapting their food gap programs to get food to children and families who need it most. They’re continuously monitoring and adjusting their response. They’re currently providing over 200,000 meals a month across 33 school districts in Minnesota and working with other partners to make food available to local children and families.

Every Meal focuses on the food gaps when children aren’t able to receive free and reduced meal programs. They provide weekend and other food gap programs serving over 10,000 children across 300 locations.

If you would like more information on Every Meal, it is available at www.everymeal.org

The Sandwich Project provides sandwiches to homeless people in our area. We make the sandwiches, drop them off at a “freezer location” and they are then picked up and distributed.
