Missions

The goal of our Missions Team is to motivate, equip and mobilize the Church into a God-centered service of prayer, compassionate evangelism, discipleship and mutual caring for one another both at home and abroad.

“Out of Country” Missions:

Rwanda – Matt and Andrea Miller and their found children have been on the mission field for over 16 years. They have lived and worked in Togo, West Africa for over 11 years. In January of 2012, they moved to join God in what He is doing in Rwanda, East Africa. Their passion is to train and equip disciples to follow Christ in obedience. They have opened Virunga Valley Academy, an international school in Rhuengeri, Rwanda. Matt serves as the director of the school and Andrea teaches at the school.

Nicaragua – Hope4Life is a group that is dedicated to helping the church lead and reach out to their community by offering realistic sustainable solutions to health and well-being. Theses ministries offer a chance for congregations to show they care, teach Christ and become international ministers of the Gospel. People in nine villages have received over 900 water filters through Hope4Life.

United States Missions:

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort immediately responds to any major disaster in the continental United States. We contact the leadership of local Churches of Christ in or near a major disaster area. If the leadership says their local congregation wants to help, we send and turn over to that congregation truckloads of emergency food, personal hygiene, infant care, water, cleaning supplies, and pallets of additional basic needs, for them to distribute to the disaster victims. These supplies are to be given to anyone affected by the disaster, regardless of race, creed, origin, gender, or religious preference. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that employs fifteen paid personnel. The success of our organization though is because of the hundreds of volunteers that help us. Volunteers help us pack the majority of these supplies in our Nashville warehouse so they are ready to be distributed as soon as they’re received, even our truck drivers are volunteers. Local Church of Christ congregations across the country volunteer their time and distribute the provided supplies to the disaster victims in their area.

St. Paul Urban Ministry – our mission is to build a thriving church that makes disciples that make disciples and glorifies God throughout generations in the St. Paul, Minnesota area.
